BB1523
: Mad Dogs and Englishmen.....
Thursday
3rd July 2015
Almost
8 years to the day since Tony's comment that "Mad
Dogs and Englishmen go out in the pouring rain"
( BB0719
) the Mad Dogs were back, more conventionally this time.
One Englishman reports:
Mad
Dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun Going
walking with the BOOTboys
is always a lot of fun So attacking Haystacks on
the hottest day of the year May appear to some folks
to seem not a little queer
The
fab four set off in good spirits A debate about the
path- "oh here 'tis" Made steeper the climb
than should have been And one of the four at least
was not too keen
Having
hit a heat wall last year before He certainly couldn't
take it any more So resting on a rock told the others
"go on" But their concern was touching
and retorted "Non !"
So
down they climbed after lunch with a view It was
at the time the only thing to do Back at the Fish
and rest with a beer They all clinked glasses and
said " 'ere 'ere !"
