was away - "Again?"
I hear you remark.
An
invalid had requested a short walk, so,
despite the rain which, although light had
hardly stopped, we assembled at the Black
Labrador Public House (surprise) at 10:15.
A late start but based on a short walk,
perfect timing for lunch.
Frankly,
there’s not too much to report. If you avoid
medical history, not much was discussed.
Robert
had kindly taken it on himself to grasp
the nettle, and had designed a splendid
outing, albeit modest. Perfect for the occasion.
So after a light lunch:

C, what did you think about the walk
today?”
“It
was interesting.”

“Mr
R, What did you think about the walk
today? Any special features? "
"Only
the effin’ rain, all the time”
|

“And
Stuart - thanks for the beer by the
way - What would you like to say about the
walk?”
“Very
familiar but very enjoyable. Now I must
be off to let the dog out.”

“Ian,
any comments about the walk today”
“I
concur with what he said.”
|
| 
|
“Now
TV Mike, you’re never short of a word, what
did you think of the walk today?”
“I
feel wonderful company, excellent scenery,
lovely weather, regrettably no opportunity
for TV appearances. Could have done
with a quiz.”
“No,
but you are being interviewed.”

“And
finally Robert: what did you think
about the walk today?”
“I
suggested the route: Can I apologise
for the mud and the weather?”
“No
need to apologise, we all thoroughly enjoyed
it."

" Thank you very much everybody for your
feedback.”
